Biography
Aaradhna is a New Zealander of Samoan and Indian descent. Her father Jayanti Patel is an Indian from Navsari, Gujarat, India and her mother Sia'a Patel is from the village Papa Sataua ,Savaii, Samoa. Aaradhna is the eldest of five siblings. She first showed singing aspirations at the young age of 11, singing along with her mother to traditional Samoan and Country songs. She would try to imitate the songs she heard in Bollywood movies that she and her father watched growing up and also went to Indian festivals that her father performed at. Aaradhna began writing her own music at the age of 11, she entered her first talent quest at the age of 13 making it into the finals. She joined the school choir at Porirua College and got kicked out for rebelling, but went on to form a five piece girl group called "LOVERA".
Aaradhna continued on signing a record deal with Universal Music at the age of 19 and released her debut album "I Love You" in 2006. Her second album "Sweet Soul Music" was released in 2008 where she created the whole record with her rendition of iconic soul artists remakes. Aaradhna then released her 3rd album "Treble & Reverb" creating a soulful masterpiece talking about her life between 2008 to 2012 when she travelled around the world. Her most recent record "Brown Girl" was released in 2016 which she spoke about her experiences as a child and life to this present day. Aaradhna continues to create music and tour on the big stages around the world and hopes to continue and turn heads with the soulful sweet sound she has been blessed with.
